Sailom Pavilions

Hua Hin has many fun shopping spots, but Bangkokians may especially enjoy shopping  at Sailom Pavilions, it's also the office for many tour companies and hotels, so it's the perfect place to find the best deal for that game of golf or waterfall trip

Location : On Damnernkasem Road. Sailom Pavilions has beach access so shoppers can take a stroll on the beach.

Hua Hin Market Village

Hua Hin Market Village gathers plenty of brand name products under one roof, This is a large-scale shopping complex comparable to those in large city. if you need to buy something to waer on the beach it's the place I suggesst to visit

Chatchai Market (Talad Torrung)

If you haven't walked around the famous Talad Torrung or Chatchai Market, it's means you haven't been in Hua Hin. It's colorful place where you can find all kinds of delicious local foods, including seafood, Thai desserts and yummy roti, There are also several shops selling souvenirs to help you remember an unforgettable  trip.

Location : The market starts from Phetchakasem Road and is busy until late night.

Must See in HUA-HIN&CHA-AM

1. Hua Hin Railway Station

The Railway Station is the symbol of Hua-Hin. The town's landmark boasts unique Thai architecture and is one of the oldest train stations in the country. It was built under  the instruction of visionary King HM Rama VI who wanted it as a place to welcome prominent guests. its architectural style is similar to Maruekkhathayawan Palace. The pavilion, was originally name Plub Pla Sanamchan, as it was built in the same style of Sanamchan Palace in Nakhon Prathom.

2. Hua Hin Beach

If you've made the trip to seaside, you probably willing to visit the beach and the sea. Hua Hin beach stretches from the town centre down to Kao Takiab. Its white sand and clear blue sea have made Hua-Hin a famous choice for your holiday. if you haven't walked along these serene then you can't  say that you've been to hua-hin. The beach plays host to many festival, Such as annual Jazz festival. How romantic to listen jazz  on the beach at night! You also can find many of restaurants serve both Thai and Western cuisine, Several of them are adapted from old residences to bring the atmosphere of a bygone era.

3.Baan Silapin

Baan Silapin is the brainchild of Thawee Kaesangarm, chairman of the Hua Hin Artist Club. Besides being the only gallery in Hua Hin that exhibits work of the famous artists in Thailand all year round, Baan Silapin also offers various art courses for those who like to get their hands dirty or simply relax at coffee corner. Baan Silapin situated in Hin Lek Fai , Hua-Hin. it opens between 10 am. to 5 pm. , closed on Mondays

4. Say Cheese

Especially for the cheese lover, Quality cheese produced by Del Casaro is supplied to many five-star hotels in town, is situated in Hua Hin Soi 10. Surely cheese from here is fresher than the imported products or large factory which stored in fridge for long time till reach the hand of customers. Say Cheese using only the low-fat milk to make their cheese. Permission to observe the production is allowed on a case-by-case. Factory closed on Sundays.

5. Hua Hin Hills Vineyard

The only vineyard in Hua Hin is owned by Siam Winery Co Ltd, located about 40 km. from the centre of town. you can enjoy wine tasting or tour the vineyard which cover an area around 1000 rai. The annual grape harvest is in March. if you want to enjoy locally produced wine from Hua Hin, take a visit Hua Hin Vineyard.

Filters for landscape

Warm up/Cool down : If you shooting RAW files there's no need  to using these filter because in RAW file you can adjust color temperature as you like on the process. even though if you like everything to finish right after the shooting Warm up filter No. 81 might be what you want, using in the dusk or dawn to accelerate the warmer tone . be caution using during the day may effect darken your photo.

 

Polarizer : working good on the sunny day it's help to make the sky more blueish, cut the reflex from the water surface when putting this filter on the lens slowly rotate the filter while looking the effect in viewfinder . the best result come when  the sun make 90 degree with you camera. take caution this polarize filter consume the light for 2 stop.

ND : The ND filter help decrease the light to the sensor which make you shoot the landscape with the slower speed shutter. suit for shoot the water flow smooth and softly. ND no. 0.3 make you to increase exposure 1 stop, no. 0.6 have to increase 2 stop, no. 0.9 have to increase 3 stop and no. 1.2 have to increase 4 stop.

Gradient ND :  Landscape Photographer cannot live without it. Gradient ND make the balance between the sky and the ground help you can shoot a single shot with the appropriate result. same as the ND filter, gradient ND come with various number; 0.3, 0.6, 0.9 ... filter No. 0.3 make  a very smooth work while No. 0.6 used in general and No. 0.9 used at dusk or dawn. 

Prepare Your Gears Before Leaving

How do we prepare our camera and accessories before leaving for travel to get a stunning photos without carry too much your equipment.

Some photographer usually take too much of their equipment in their trip and find out that few were use in their trip the rest are in their large camera bag without use at all. to not make the same mistake as them here is the tip to prepare your gears for take a stunning photo with only necessary  equipment

Camera Bag : will protect all your equipment in it. better choosing backpack than choose shoulder bag. especially if you have to walk for a long way with rough path. backpack with water proof cover should be the best option. don't forget to bring the cleaning set , back-up batteries and memory cards in your bag.

Tripod : the most important equipment to make your camera steady in long exposure shot and help you to adjust the composition.

Remote Shutter : with the feature to help you to shoot without make the camera move make this equipment important with a good quality of remote shutter help you control the camera as you push the shutter from your camera.

Lens Hood :  design to protect the light fall in the front lens to help decrease flare occurred in your photo. also to protect your lens from your finger to touch the lens accidentally.

Filter : you will need only 3 type of filters for your trip ; Circular Polarize, Warm-up and gradient ND. a square filter suit for who have lots of lens in their bag

Don't forget to fully charged you camera battery and ready your memory card before leaving for the trip.

Dawn till Dusk !!

As the landscape photographer told that in one day we only have 2 period to shoot the photo ; at dawn you will have 15-30 minutes before sunrise and have another 30-60 minutes after (depend on the light condition), another period at dusk you will also have 15-30 minutes before the sunset and 30 minutes after to shoot. why do we have to take a photograph on this period of time, is it because of it's the rule or what?? the answer is in these moment you will have a warm tone of color, soft shadow build your photo like a pro. suit for landscape photo. many may landscape photographer took their photo only these two moments.
